CDF and RUAF are fighting for an important railway intersection that can be the staging ground for future offensives. Overal the whole city is important as it also has a deep port which can take bigger transport ships. And its vicinity to an airport is of great value to CDF that would if they loose the city, lose the airport. If the RUAF looses, then CDF will have a clear way to Elektrozavods which is again, of great strategic importance.
