1944 - 5th of May - 04:22 local time - Italy - Northwest of Vasto - Arbuzzo region. After 13th of October - 1943, new formed Italian government declared war on Germany. Most of the German units in Italy regrouped north. Now Allies are preparing to capture Rome. Air superiority for Allies might occur crucial, therefor they need to create a net of airfields in Italy itself. Although some existing airfields are still in hands of German forces. One of such is located in the region mentioned above, with rather heavy anti-air defenses it's not possible for Allies to just bomb the airfield without suffering assets lost. Italian "partigiani" are now fighting side by side with Allies. They have received more equipment both from captured storage facilities and from the British Army. With a main goal to capture the airfield and to sabotage anti-air defenses, partigiani are now ready and eager to fight.
