Situation Update / Summary
During previous strike operations in the Jiroft area, one friendly F/A-18C was shot down by hostile ground fire. The pilot successfully ejected and survived. Current intelligence places the survivor south of Jiroft, where he is evading hostile militia forces while awaiting extraction.

A friendly CH-47 CSAR flight has been tasked with recovery of the pilot. Estimated flight time to the survivor area is approximately 60–90 minutes. Enemy forces in the region are primarily militia and irregular units. No organized enemy air response is expected, however hostile ground forces may attempt to locate or engage the survivor and incoming rescue helicopter.

Mission Intent
Provide air cover and suppression of hostile forces during the CSAR operation, secure the
helicopter ingress/egress route, and ensure safe recovery of the downed pilot.

Mission Tasks
Task 1 — Route Reconnaissance
● Recon the planned CH-47 route
● Identify enemy vehicles, checkpoints, or concentrations of forces
● Destroy any threats capable of engaging the rescue helicopter
Task 2 — Survivor Area Security
● Establish presence south of Jiroft
● Suppress hostile militia forces near the survivor location
● Prevent enemy units from reaching the downed pilot
Task 3 — CSAR Support
● Provide overwatch during CH-47 ingress and extraction
● Maintain air cover until rescue helicopter safely departs AO
